INNOVATIVE PHOTOVOLTAIC TECHNOLOGY FOR AGRICULTURE

The basic product of Rem Tec is the Agrovoltaico®, a solar tracking system that preserve the full use of the land underneath for agricultural use.

The system is made of a structure around 4-6 meters high supporting the photovoltaics modules that rotates around one or two axes. In general, the Agrovoltaico® system produces up to 40% more than traditional fixed PV plants.
The shadow generated by the modules can be managed so that the plants underneath are not negatively affected by it. It has been proven by studies conducted in collaboration with University Cattolica of Piacenza that the shadow does not affect the growth of the plants and in some cases it helps the colture.

The basic configuration can be implemented with a series of automated systems in order to increase the agricultural yield, such as shading nets, special hail nets, transparent sheets and white films.

The Agrovoltaico® is particularly interesting when applied on greenhouse: the energy produced by the modules is used to optimise the environmental conditions inside the greenhouse and increase its production.
