Al Invest 5.0 - Cross Clustering: a strategy for MSMEs development
The Programme AL-INVEST is one of the most important international cooperation programmes funded by the European Commission aimed at enhancing the economic development of Latin America, with a particular focus on micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs).
The Programme AL-INVEST, which started in 1994, launched in 2015 its fifth phase AL-INVEST 5.0: integrating growth for social cohesion in Latin America, in order to contribute to productivity growth and sustainable internationalization process of SMEs in Latin America through organisations that represent the private sector and promote its development, such as Chambers of Commerce, Trade Associations and Export Promotion Agencies, etc. The Program is implemented by a consortium of 11 international organizations that are coordinated by the Chamber of Commerce Industry Services and Tourism of Santa Cruz Bolivia (CAINCO).
Within this framework, the international Consortium led by Promos-Milan Chamber of Commerce and composed by Eurocamara Argentina, ProCordoba, the Eurochile Foundation and Sicamera awarded the project "Cross-clustering Initiative. A Stategy for the Micro, Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (MSMEs) Development".
The Project is geographically focused on Argentina, Chile and Italy.
The objectives of the project are
- to contribute to the improving the productivity of micro, small and medium enterprises, while promoting sustainable development;
- to support the development of entrepreneurial and associative capacities of micro-small and medium enterprises in Latin America through the inter-regional integration processes and social inclusion
- to strenghten the relations between European and Latin American clusters in advanced mechanics, methallurgy and petrolchemical;
- to enhance the opportunity for micro, small and medium companies to find a reliable partner and promote business and technological cooperation.
